The most important and dynamic centre of this area is Moncalvo, the smallest town in Italy, native town of Rosa Vercellana, Bela Rusin, wife of the King of Italy Vittorio Emanuele II.
It is worthwhile to visit the very close village of Grazzano Badoglio (which offers the possibility to visit the sepulchre of Aleramo), the Sanctuary of Crea (23 votive chapels, ending with the Paradise one, surrounded by a beautiful natural park) and Montemagno (with its fascinating medieval village, the twelve numbered parallel alleis, the picturesque square, the baroque steps of Assunta and the fourteenth-century castle of the Earls Calvi di Bergolo).
